Day 41 - SURPRISE -

I had a duty in North London today but still, I had time this morning to animate an illustration I made at the end of August! It hasn't been shared on social media yet, so this is an exclusive content for you guys my beloved loyal blog readers 💗

YAY I finished them aaalllll !!! Now I'm gonna have fun and explore other formats, animation, clay sculpture, and also share everything, bits by bits, on Instagram !! And of course, put them on the website and start to send my portfolio to agencies !!!!

Today was a productive day, woke up late but all I did was working on those two illustrations, both are nearly finished. It is very different to work with them compared to the previous not alone/neurotoxin ones, simply because I started them using water-colour.

I love using 'dissolve' for the highlight now it gives a nice texture

I refined those two water-colour paintings. The illus weirdly reflect what I'm going through these days. Not sure what influence what but it's painful.

I struggled to start the illu for Thisguise mag the whole afternoon. I ended up doing some quick watercolour drafts. It's been a while I haven't touch this medium, feels great.

I did it, I scanned all the images I'll use for my animation. It was long, I had to deal with a few jams, but I did it. And that was the easiest part.

I started to sketch ideas for the Thisguise magazine's submission. I fell ill yesterday so I couldn't do much. I'm really excited about the outcome though, the theme fits my style very well.

Day 31

I have been drawing only for others today. I did a quick doodle for a friend's birthday, and a quite realist pencil sketch for another friend who just asked me to draw her. I accepted cause it's been a very long time I haven't done a portrait like that and it's a good exercise to do once in a while.

Day 29-30

I had to re-do some parts of the pencil sketch, so it took me a while because then I had to re-clean the files and finally I had to align everything together which was annoying but yeah. I'm glad I've done it, look way more sophisticated and refined. Today (and yesterday) was a good day of work.

A couple of bits need to be corrected though

I didn't have much time to work on it today but at least I cleaned the scanned files and now it is fully ready to be coloured! Also, I gave away my first business card today and it was a success! I might get published in a rad magazine.

I'm excited about the future.

I finished the pencil sketch! Looks fab. Next step scanning and colourisation.

Day 25

I'm really excited about this outcome, I'm going to finish the pencil sketch tomorrow then try my brand new ass A3 scanner and finally start to colourized it. I struggled to find a way to incorporate the neurotoxin elements because this time the 'invader' is not part of the organism's harmony but it is attacking it. I found a solution (not shown here) so stay tuned for the next post where I'll surely write about it ;D

" The Chinese Restaurant Syndrome "

I decided for the next illustration to change the theme from Microbiome to Neurotoxin. There will still be this sense of body invasion, with non-human elements merging with it. I want to bring a sense of illness/despair in it.
I also have in mind a series of half-opened heads, with one of the 5 principal neurotoxins (see image on the left) filling the cranial cavity.
